|Golden Vietnamese lychees are marketed in Australia
The event was jointly held by the Vietnamese trade office in Australia in collaboration with Pho 4waysfresh Company, marking the start of a branding drive to introduce Vietnamese lychees to stores and supermarkets across Australia.
Despite the cold winter weather, plenty of store and supermarket owners joined with potential importers to attend the early morning event in order to gain greater insights into the golden Vietnamese lychees and agree on methods in which to market and purchase the products.
This comes after golden Vietnamese lychees were immediately sold out after being distributed at a whole sale market in Perth, Western Australia on June 18. These strong sales came thanks to an online promotion scheme that was launched by the Vietnamese trade office.
To further develop the brand name of golden Vietnamese lychees, the trade office has been co-operating with the Vietnamese student associations in Australia in an effort to organise a contest aimed at advertising fresh lychees on Facebook.
Moreover, the trade office has also promoted fresh lychees through social media networks and via the Viet-Aus Trade application.
Nguyen Phu Hoa, head of the Vietnamese trade office based in Australia, expressed hope that the marketing strategy will allow Australian consumers learn more about the lychee brand.
