Coffee exports slow down

(VOV) -In the first ten months of this year, Vietnam’s coffee exports were estimated at 1.09 million tonnnes worth US$2.33 billion, down 24.6% in volume and 24.4% in value year on year.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Germany and the US are the two largest coffee consumers of Vietnam, accounting for 13% and 10.9% of its total export volume, respectively.

Meanwhile, exports grew by 8.8% to Russia, by 3.7% to the UK and by 2.8% to Spain.

Only in September, the export price of coffee was more than US$2,145 per tonne, up 0.83% from a year earlier.
