Vietnam Food Day has been organised to celebrate the nation’s Chin-Su Chili Sauce entering the Japanese market.
Pham Hong Son, deputy general director of Masan Consumer Corporation, says the introduction of Chin-Su Chili Sauce represents a step in a process to build and develop Vietnamese brands in an international arena.
Vu Tuan Hai, the Vietnamese consul general in Osaka, says he hopes the event would serve to greatly contribute to developing economic ties between the two nations through the introduction of consumer items.
Participants perform a ritual known as kagami biraki to grant luck for the event.
Makoto Ryoke, head of the Health Promotion Office in Osaka, notes that the event helps to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries. With Vietnam’s cuisine culture being introduced in Japan, it is hoped that the country’s products will become more popular in the daily lives of local people.
