At a working session on June 22, the NA Chairwoman said Bac Kan is the sole mountainous province in Vietnam that has a population of less than 500,000 people with an average 64 people per km2.
She called on the province to upgrade the road system to develop the inter-regional economy.
The top legislator also asked Bac Kan to take heed to social welfare and poverty reduction, and to combine the tasks of building new rural areas and people’s production.
She said Bac Kan needs to focus on vocational training for ethnic minority people and protect religious freedom.
The same day, the NA Chairwoman worked with Cho Moi district, visiting and presenting gifts to families of martyrs and war invalids and heroic mothers.
