Voters agreed with the 11th Party plenum’s discussion of criteria for members of the Party central committee, the politburo, and the secretariat and said they believed the upcoming 12th National Party Congress will select a Party Central Committee competent enough to lead the country in the next 5 years.
Party leader Trong acknowledged voters’ opinions and clarified some points concerning the organization of the local administration and the Party’s determination to implement its resolution on Party building.
The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with voters in Phu Ninh district, central Quang Nam province.
Voters commended the performance of the National Assembly and hoped that it will increase its supervision of national major issues including social welfare and treatment for policy beneficiaries. Phuc assigned the local government to handle a number of proposals made by voters.
Meeting with voters in Vu Thu town, Thai Binh province, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai reviewed a number of major socio-economic developments in recent years and listened to a report on new rural development in Thai Binh.
At the same meeting, Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc informed voters that the 9th session of the 13th National Assembly will take place from May 20- June 25.
