Lawmakers adopt Law on Support for SMEs

VOV.VN -Lawmakers adopted on June 12 a draft law on support for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with 83.5% of the NA deputies voting for the bill, which consists of four chapters with 35 articles.

Under the law, SMEs will get easier access to loans, tax preferences,  and support for production facilities. The law will take effect early next year.

At the fifth session, the NA will carry out question-answer sessions and supervise the implementation of policies and law on managing and using State capital and assets at businesses, as well as the equitisation of SMEs from 2011-2016.

Meanwhile, lawmakers will question cabinet members on June 13 as part of the ongoing National Assembly session.

Debate will center around agriculture restructuring, measures to mobilize all available resources for development investment, healthcare quality, and cultural activities.

“I will focus on cultural management, agriculture, and the settlement of people’s complaints and denunciations. We will supervise and work closely with the Government on these issues,” said Luu Binh Nhuong, a deputy  from Binh Duong province.

“There are more than 11,000 communal health centers across Vietnam but their services are still far from meeting expectations. I believe that we’ll have an answer to this problem this time, ” said Nguyen Quang Tuan, a deputy of Hanoi.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will join the Ministers of Agriculture, Culture, Public Health, and Planning and Investment in responding to lawmakers’ questions.

The Q&A session will be broadcast live on radio, TV and the internet.
