Vietnam sends condolences to Canada over mass shooting

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has offered his condolences to Canadian Foreign Minister François-Philippe Champagne over the April 19 mass shooting in the North American country.

The attack occurred in the coastal town of Portapique, about 130km north of the capital of Halifax in Nova Scotia province.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said the gunman, named as 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman, died after shooting people in several locations across the province.

According to the RCMP, the total number of deaths from the attack hit 23, including the gunman.
