He voiced his expectation that Vietnam and Thailand would go ahead with the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on judicial cooperation between the two countries’ supreme courts.
The Vietnamese NA is paying attention to the role and operation of judicial agencies, he said, adding that the country’s 2013 Constitution affirms the court’s central position in the judicial system.
He told his guest that Vietnam’s NA recently adopted important laws in the judicial sector, including the revised law on corruption prevention and combat, the law on amnesty, among others.
For his part, Cheep Jullamon said the visit is designed to boost cooperation between the two countries’ judicial agencies and realize the MoU on collaboration between the two supreme courts.
He voiced his belief that that the relationship between the two sides’ courts would become stronger in the time ahead.
