Mexican ruling party sends congratulations to CPV’s 12th Congress

Manilo Fabio Beltrones, Chairman of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), the ruling party in Mexican, extended his congratulations to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong on the occasion of the 12th National Congress slated for January 20-28.

In his message, Manilo Fabio Beltrones offered the warmest congratulations to the CPV’s Central Committee and CPV members as their 12th National Party Congress is coming.

The CPV has a crucial role in the construction of a modern and strong nation, he wrote.

He wishes that relations between the two parties will be tightened and consolidated in the future.

Vietnam and Mexico established diplomatic relations on May 19, 1975 and since then the politic-diplomatic relationship between the two countries has developed both bilaterally and on multilateral forums.

The economic-trade cooperation between the two nations has seen strong strides and Mexico is currently Vietnam’s second large trade partner in South America, only behind Brazil. Meanwhile, Vietnam is Mexico’s 12th largest trade partner in the Asia-Pacific region.
