Lao Prime Minister to visit Vietnam

VOV.VN - Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith will lead a high-ranking delegation of the Lao Government to make a visit to Vietnam and co-chair the 42nd meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Inter-Governmental Committee in Hanoi from January 2-4.

The visit is made at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Vietnam and Laos have enjoyed close-knit traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation over the past years.

Two-way trade between the two nations is estimated to stand at US$1.1-1.2 billion this year, up 12.6 percent over a year earlier, surpassing the set target. The two countries have set a bilateral trade target of US$4 billion next year.
