The event is co-organized by the HCM City Union of Friendship Organizations and Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam–France Friendship Association.
The exhibition displays 42 paintings and sculpture works by French and Vietnamese painters. These artworks feature natural landscapes and people’s daily life, using a variety of materials such as lacquer, oil on canvas, acrylic and ceramic.
President of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association Huynh Van Muoi said at the opening ceremony that this is the fourth time the Vietnam-France friendship fine arts exhibition has been held in the city this year.
Through the event, Vietnamese and French artists have an opportunity to share experience and contribute to tightening friendship and cooperative relations between the two countries.
The exhibition will run till October 25 at Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association.
