|Xuong Giang national relic site
The event will feature up to 24 unique cultural and sporting activities which are due to transpire in districts and towns throughout the province.
The opening day of the festival, which falls on the fifth day of the first lunar month, will kick off with a ceremony during which the province will receive a certificate of special national relic site for Xuong Giang.
In addition, the occasion will host a number of festivals take place across the two weeks, including the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival in Tuan Mau commune, along with the Son Dong District and Tan Son Festival in Tan Son commune of Luc Ngan district which began on January 12.
Visitors will be able to experience cultural exchanges by participating in a Songhao singing contest and enjoying a highland market, as well as participating in various sports such as wresting and mountain climbing.
Bac Giang Cultural and Tourism week is being organised as a way of promoting the province’s unique cultural values and tourism potential.
It is hoped that the event will serve to show that Bac Giang is home to welcoming local people and is a safe and friendly destination for tourists, said Tran Minh Ha, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
