VOV.VN - The Vietnamese national futsal team will face a tough task after being placed in Group B at the AFF Futsal Championship 2019 alongside a number of strong rivals including Australia, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Vietnam beat Brunei 9-0 in the first match of Group B of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Futsal Championship held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on November 5.
Vietnam’s national futsal team tied with Thai Port 1-1 in their first friendly match in Thailand on October 22.
Vietnam will compete Thailand, Timor Leste and Cambodia in Group A of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Futsal Championship 2019, scheduled for October 21-27 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam are in Group B of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Futsal Championship 2018, according to the event’s draw.
The Vietnamese national futsal team finished third at the International Futsal Tournament, which concluded in Changshu City, Jiangshu Province, China on October 22.
The national futsal team will leave for Japan on June 7 for a short training session, in preparation for the 2015 AFF Futsal Championship.
