Downpour hits Hanoi causing traffic chaos

VOV.VN -Heavy traffic occurred on many streets throughout Hanoi as rainfall swept through the capital on the morning of October 8.
Severe traffic was quick to build up, with many of the city’s streets being congested just 30 minutes after the rain began.
Light rain hit the capital during the morning rush hour, causing prolonged traffic jams on several of the city’s major streets including Nga Tu So, Truong Chinh, Nguyen Xien, Khuat Duy Tien, Nguyen Trai, and Tran Phu in Ha Dong district.
Long lines of vehicles and motorcycles stuck in traffic could be seen waiting on Nguyen Xien street.
A motorist was forced to wait under the pouring rain.
Vehicles on Giai Phong street leading to Giap Bat Station, were only able to move at a snail's pace.
A similar situation was occurring throughout the city, here is the scene on Nguyen An Ninh street.

A passenger on a bus appears is tired of the capital’s heavy traffic. 
 
Serious traffic jams clogged Tuong Mai street.
Many vehicles were forced to take to the sidewalks, leaving causing further disarray.
