VOV.VN - Crowds of people have been paying visits to several historical relic sites in Dien Bien Phu City in the northern province of Dien Bien to commemorate the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7, a prominent triumph during the country’s resistance war against French colonialists.

Since the beginning of March, the number of visitors heading to the Dien Bien Phu battlefield relic sites in the northern province of Dien Bien has been sharply increasing, with around 5,000 arrivals every day.

So far Dien Bien has received a total of 845,000 arrivals, increasing by 1.86 times compared to the same period from last year. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7 and celebrates National Tourism Year. The locality is scheduled to welcome a total of 1.3 million arrivals this year.
