At a November 13 reception for Deloitte Global Chairman David Cruickshank in Hanoi on November 13, Ngan told her guest that Vietnam hopes for Deloitte Global’s sharing of knowledge and experience to help NA deputies improve the capacity of financial verification and supervision.
Ngan showed her belief that as a big audit organization with 180-year experience and a network covering 150 countries, Deloitte will make positive contributions to boosting the growth of the Vietnamese economy.
She praised the vital role of the Vietnamese independent audit sector in the national economy, saying it has served as an important component of the macro management tool system for the economy and finance.
She asked Deloitte Global to continue recruiting Vietnamese staff and training quality human resources for Vietnam’s financial sector and hailed the development of Deloitte Vietnam, formerly the Vietnam Audit Company (VACO), the first independent audit firm of the Ministry of Finance, and one of the largest of its kind.
The top legislator stressed Deloitte's increasingly important role in improving transparency of business and investment activities thus helping Vietnam raise the value of the economy.
Cruickshank thanked Vietnam for its support for Deloitte Vietnam, a member of the Deloitte Global, saying Deloitte Global will pay heed to Vietnam and provide advanced technology and international experience as well as high quality audit services for businesses operating in the country.
The firm will also give advice to Vietnamese Government agencies and the private sector, while assisting enterprises in mobilizing capital, he added.
