NA deputies commented on the state budget book finalization for 2015 and agreed on the overspending of more than 260 trillion dong, or 6.28% of the GDP.
The top legislator Ngan asked the government to strengthen public debt management, transparency and ensure a sound national financial status.
In her closing remarks, NA Chairwoman Ngan urged the President, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Council of Ethnic Affairs and other Committees of the NA and relevant agencies to get opinions of the NA Standing Committee so as to finalize reports presented at the session.
The reports cover a variety of fields such as socio-economic situation, the State budget, the treaty and protocol on land borderline and markers between Vietnam and Laos, and the draft law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the 2015 Penal Code, among others.
According to Chairman of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc, preparations for the upcoming 3rd session of the National Assembly have been basically completed.
