Duc, who is also a founder of the Nha San Collective--an experimental art space in Hanoi --will talk about the Tet (Lunar New Year) altar of Vietnamese people and prayers made during the traditional festival.

For Vietnamese people, the altar is a highly sacred place where they present their deepest respect to their domestic ancestors. However, not every one knows about the fengshui rules for arranging the altar and offerings.
In different regions, there are some differences on the altar offerings as well. In addition, how to “talk” properly with ancestors through the prayers will also be mentioned during the discussion with the Hanoian artist.
The event is among the monthly cultural series organised by the Hanoi Culture Space aiming to revive traditional values of the local culture.
The free entry event will start at 3pm. The Hanoi Culture Space is part of the Dong Lac Communal House, 38 Hang Dao street.
