The overseas Vietnamese community in Sachsen-Anhalt state, Germany, on November 26 handed over 3,100 EUR to the Vietnam Fatherland Front to assist victims of the recent floods in Vietnam.
Vuong Tri Dung and Vu Thi Hoang Ha, representatives from the community, presented the money to Ha Thi Lien, member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee.
Ms Lien thanked the overseas Vietnamese for their support and promised to transfer the money as soon as possible to those affected by the recent floods.
Mr Dung and Ms Ha previously granted gifts and scholarships totalling almost 870 EUR to primary school pupils of My Hung and Cu Khe schools in Thanh Oai district, Hanoi.
